This coming Sunday, April 22, 2007 more than 250 km will be on the field’s program for the Amstel Gold Race. Departing from Maastricht (NED), the cyclists will complete a demanding course with no less than 31 hills, including three times the famous Cauberg, where also the finishing line will be.

The Astana Cycling Team will feature the Russian Sergueï Ivanov (2nd in 2002, 8th in 2004 and 10th last year) and German Matthias Kessler (6th in 2004). Both intend to be more than simple observers in this 42nd edition of the Amstel Gold Race.
